Padlet: creating aesthetic, collective, accessible slideshow

As a sharer, do you agonize over typography and aesthetics when editing what you want to share on social platforms? Have you ever wanted to make a compilation with ideas and sharing from other people?

As a viewer, when searching for posts with specific content, and then collecting them one by one, does it bother you to think that it would be nice if these contents could be presented coherently and structured, for example, as a mind map?

If YES,  DO IT WITH Padlet!

Like magic, you have a beautiful presentation.

Every post becomes a slide. You don‘t have to worry about the fonts cuz they will be sized automatically. The colors are determined by your chosen wallpaper. You can navigate with your cursor or your keyboard. Everything is designed well to fit in aesthetic harmony.

  • Stream: top to bottom content

  1. There are multiple functions.
  2. You can join to cooperate the Padlet via the shared link or QR code.
  3. And add the things you want to share, corresponding to the topic

How about teaching and learning?

The attractive appearance, the diversity of structures that connect textual information relationships, the privacy of participation through sharing links, and the features that they do not require the editor to bother with formatting, all make Padlet useful in teaching and learning.

For teacher, it can helps to make a lesson plan or summarize work notes in a structured way efficiently.

For students, it enables everybody to share, with collective information presented in clear.

Our tutor use it to motivate us to share our daily routines or opinions. The collaborative and collectivistic platforms made me more motivated to understand other people's perspectives because the images and words were there in a compelling way.

Anyway, I think it's more like a combination of slide show and blog for people to collaborate and share.

  1. Hi mona. Thank you for sharing about padlet! Although I have used this software before, your blog has given me a better understanding of padlet. The only thing that is lacking is that in my opinion it would make the layout look better if you could move the white background of the text and the white space at the bottom of the post.

  2. Hello Mona. You have demonstrated how to use Padlet for both teachers and students. Thanks to your blog post, I think I can use Padlet to design my future lesson plans. However, other than what Mia said above, maybe it would be better if you could provide some limitation of Padlet.
