Create Interactive content with plugin H5P

Many educators want to create interactive content for their classroom or online courses. How does H5P allow users to create rich content in a content management system?

H5P provides plugins and integrations for WordPress, Moodle, Drupal, Canvas, Brightspace, Blackboard and more. By simply plugging in H5P, your system can create, share, and reuse interactive content.

 

Here, I'll show you how to use H5P to create an interactive test in a video for students: 

H5P makes it easy to create interactive content by providing a range of content types for various needs. Preview and explore these content types below. Click “Get”.


I chose the interactive video pattern. The popular science videos of China's four beautiful men were selected as material to facilitate learning. You can upload a video or copy and paste the links.

 

Then I added different types of instant concept-checking questions as quiz for students to have a deeper understanding of the content. Choose the questioning type on the top bar as you want. 


You can insert the quiz exactly where you want it to appear in the video.When students answer this question correctly, they get a pleasing visual feedback. For example:

 

You can also add a bookmark to different section of the video, which is a good navigation to go back and review. Finally an the end of the video, teacher can still add a summary statement. It can be simply text or also interrogatory by giving students options to choose.

As for me, there is no limitation in using H5P, you can dig out various kinds of possibilities during the exploration. It is an brilliant invention for education field.     Hello, Mona. You have given a very detailed step on how to use H5P, which has given me a strong interest in this website. I think your example of how to apply video teaching is brilliant. But, in my opinion, no software, website or technology would be 'perfect'. For example, as far as I know, H5P cannot track and analyze students' performance.

    Hi Mona. Thank you for providing such a detailed explanation of how to use H5P. I think it would help me to create a new one for my future students, if I have the LMS in my future institutions. However, I think maybe it can be hard and time-consuming if there is no LMS available, because teachers' work may be doubled.
